Morph Goes Bad

Police are appealing to the public for any information regarding a very small terracotta man with black gloves and a balaclaver holding a large shot gun and dragging a large sports bag full of stolen cash behind him.

Chief superintendant Norman Barry said "I cannot believe I am saying this but the armed robber caught on CCTV footage yesterday in various Post Offices across London yesterday appeared to be a small plasticine model mainly staying in the shape of a man but occasionally morphing into the shape of various other objects including a £ sign and an R.I.P. symbol when he was threatening staff with death."

The police  at first suspected they were a victims of a very elaborate hoax, organised between  the Post Office staff and customers waiting in the queue, who had replaced the actual CCTV footage of the shop with a sophisticated home made stop frame animation of the Morph in the Post Office.

Several Post Office workers were arrested on suspicion of theft and deception but have now been released since it has been revealed that the CCTV footage taken by the Police cameras on the main Road outside the Post Office is also showing the same apparently plasticine robber.

Morph was the co-star ofTony HartonHart Beatwho did lots of very popular  art demonstrations showing any thing fromputting boats in the seatohow to put stars in the sky. It is not clear why Morph suddenly seems to have become a violent criminal.

Pyschologists are concerned that Morph may have become bitter and twisted about the fact that Tony Heart has been able to use the proceeds of his BBC television success to retire to a beatiful 15th century cottage deep in the Surrey country side whereas Morph despite working hard on televesion on numerous other shows over the past 30 years still has to live in a wooden pencil case.

There also has been concern that Morph may have a lot of deep resentment over how much attention the younger and apparently more sophisticated Aardman animation characters such asWallace and Grommithave stolen Morph`s limelight in recent years.

Also there has been a lot of complaints about the way people describe the way Morph speaks as Gobbledegook when he clearly suffers from a serious speech impediment which has been exploited by lazy Aardman animators who could'nt be bothered to lip synch him a proper vocabulary like their other characters.

Morph has clearly been a favourite among children and adults for three decades but since these recent events public opinion is turning against him.
