Super Paintings

Oliver Bancroft and James Connelly made the animations frame by frame in oil paint on canvas. Augmented reality revealed the movement held inside the paintings.

The work re-enacts dance moves from Black Lace’s 1981 song “Superman”. The surviving project archive indicates work during 2014–2015; the exact dates remain under review.
