Durga

This is Durga a Hindu Goddess.
I apologise if I have not painted the right number of arms.(I read somewhere she has 10).
A well as being the wife of Shiva and raising four kids (Karttikeya, Ganesh, Saraswati, and Lakshmi) she also had a stunning career slaying demons, and that was thousands of years before feminism.

No wonder she needed so many arms.

The most famous text describing her and her life is Devi Mahatmyamand. One quote describes her: "Though she is eternal, the goddess becomes manifest over and over again to protect the world"
